Hello, I am James, Michele's husband of 16 years.
If you have reached this page then thank you for your insistence on helping, Michele always did her best to be a helper too.
If you are uncomfortable with reading about poor physical health and death, please look away, Michele would love a donation to one of the other charities you should have been informed of.
Michele's passing in the very early hours of the 16th of October, a mere 6 days after our 16th wedding anniversary, is a shock to everyone. She was my world and I am, quite simply, devastated.
Due to ongoing, seemingly undiagnosable, medical issues Michele had long since lost trust in medical institutions. Michele dealt with chronic pain and an unruly stomach for her whole adult life.
No matter her symptoms or severity of pain, whether with a medical advocate or not, after a blood test or probe she would be diagnosed as simply being fat and overreacting and given a prescription for diet and exercise.
As many of us are unfortunately aware IBS-like symptoms and chronic pain are not well known for being cured by going for a walk, but we took plenty of walks and healthy food together anyway, out of spite.
Unfortunately, this routine dismissal has extended past the end of her own thread of life and the LA county medical examiner will not be investigating her sudden and shockingly early death at the age of 47 because while she has insurance, she does not currently have a primary care physician familiar with her symptoms.
So, that's what this is for. Estimates put a private autopsy plus transport at around 4000-6000 USD depending. This is a price I can and will pay, but that's a lot of groceries.
If there's any extra after paying for these services then it will be used for any unexpected legal issues that may arise, or donated.
Thank you,
James
