Assist Meliza with funds to attend fathers funeral

Hello,

My name is Meliza Perez, I’m a mother of 4 who resides in Jacksonville Nc. I am the surviving daughter of Jesus Perez.

December 25,2024 my father took his last breaths and passed in his sleep. He resides in Melbourne Florida with his wife and my sibling. Jesus was a grandfather , USMC VET, Teamster & Husband battling leukemia from his time stationed at Camp Lejeune and agent orange from his time served in Vietnam.

I am asking for assistance with transportation from jacksonville Nc to Melbourne Fl to be with my family during this time of grief. I am still financially recovering from my 2 year old son’s auto accident that took place October 12,2024. He was ran over by a truck , emergency transported to Greenville children’s hospital where he under went emergency surgery to close an open fracture. He suffered 4 broken bones, as a result I was unable to work for the duration of his recovery.

due to my personal vehicle being on its last leg ,I would Need to get a rental car . I’m planning to rent through Turo .

the cost that I have been quoted for 14 day rental is 1258.67.

I have looked into Air Bnb’s in the Melbourne area, 14 day stay has been quoted as 2,079. * if you have other suggestions for accommodations in MELBOURNE please let me know.
