She lost her husband Steve to the big C a week ago, he was a hard working husband who didn’t want her to work and to only care for their grandchildren since he knew that’s what she’s loves doing. He loved his rescue dogs and asked her to take care of them, so now she feels guilty about getting rid of them. He was the sole provider and with his loss has put a burden on her financially.
