Assist Matt & Theresa in Their Time of Need

Hello, friends, family and kind-hearted strangers. My name is Josh Daugintis, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Matt Burdeno and his family to help with medical bills and imperative utility costs in this time of need.

"2024 has been the worst year of our lives," my dear friend Matt says, and it's hard to dispute that after witnessing what he and his family have endured over these past years. Matt has faced unimaginable challenges, after the amputation of his left leg back in 2013 and now having lost two toes and the joint at the base of his big toe on his right foot. This past year alone, he's undergone four surgeries and has been hospitalized numerous times for severe complications from bone infections in his foot. Right now, he is trying to heal from the removal of the joint, with rods and pins stabilizing the area where it was removed.

Both Matt and his wife, Theresa, are disabled, making their financial situation even more desperate. Theresa, who faces daily struggles with multiple sclerosis (MS), has been an incredible source of strength for Matt throughout this harrowing time. These are genuinely good people who have been dealt impossible odds; the combination of mounting medical bills, everyday expenses, and essential medical necessities has taken a severe toll on their finances.

Currently, they cannot afford to fill their propane tank, which is crucial for heating their home. Despite their efforts to apply for assistance, they have yet to find the support they desperately need. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help ease their financial burden, allowing them to focus on recovery rather than constantly worrying about money.
