My name is Merrick Dodge. About a year ago, my girlfriend Mariya invited her father Gulamdjan to come visit her. It had been a great year of memories and adventures. He came to Mariya's concerts, celebrated holidays with us, and made many friends here in Iowa City. But it had also been a grueling year for as he had been struggling with health problems for a while now. Amidst all the joys, there were many trips to the hospital and sleepless nights. On July 4th, 2025 he finally found peace as he passed away.

We had a beautiful memorial service for him in the days passing, but as Mariya and I are both graduate students, we are having a tough time covering his memorial and cremation expenses. Any assistance you can give us will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
