My name is Marie Foster and I'm in need of assistance with my housing as I had to move out of my residence into a hotel until I can get into senior housing.

I am a cancer patient with CML (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia) with PH Positive, which I obtained from working with PG&E and retiring with them in 1998. My health is not good, and I use a walker at all times, but my cognitive function is good so far.

San Leandro Church of Christ helped with payment for rent until August 23, 2025, but I need financial help until I can be placed into senior housing. I have been in the Church of Christ for over 50 years.

I am not able to get disability as I am past disability retirement age; I am 79 years old. I have tried to get assistance from Echo Housing, Eden Housing, HACA, and CRIL, but they are not able to help with the situation of the homeless in San Francisco. No vouchers are being given at this time.

I am still looking for housing as well. I would like to have a studio or a bdrm apartment. I qualify for Section 8, as i am low income. The hotel is too expensive.
