Help Lupe get back on the road after devastating theft

Hello, my name is Lupe Vasquez.

I’m reaching out today because I’ve found myself in an incredibly difficult situation. What I thought was simply helping out a long-time friend by giving them a ride home, turned into something I never could have imagined. Unfortunately, the car I was driving was stolen during this act of kindness. To make matters worse, the thief was pursued in a high-speed chase, which ended tragically with them being shot and my car being totaled in the process.

Sadly, due to my financial struggles, I wasn’t able to carry insurance, which means I’m now without a way to get around. I work as a home healthcare provider for patients who rely on me, and I also care for my elderly mother. On top of that, I’m the only one who drives my grandchildren to and from school, and right now, I can’t do any of that.

My heart is heavy with the burden of still owing money on the car and losing precious items, like my grandbabies' car seats and other personal belongings, all of which were in the vehicle.

If anyone is able to help in any way, even the smallest gesture would mean the world to me. My prayers are with the person involved in this incident, and I’m thankful that, despite everything, I wasn’t hurt.
