Please Assist Logan's Family During This Difficult Time
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Shannon, and I have started this GoFundMe to help out my dear friend and coworker, Michelle, and her family during this tragic and difficult time. Michelle and her family unexpedetly lost her oldest son, Logan, in a car accident on June 25, 2024. Due to this tragedy, Michelle and her family are now left with the unexpected costs for Logan's funeral expenses. This tragedy has also left Michelle unable to work at this time. Logan was someone who left an impression on everyone who ever had the privilege of meeting him. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He was so outgoing and lived life to the fullest. He was loved by so many and will be greatly and deeply missed. His obituary is as follows:
Logan Thatcher Gallagher, 27, passed away on June 25 in Moweaqua, Illinois. He was born on November 19, 1996, in Decatur, Illinois to Michelle (Gallagher) Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Michelle (Doug Mense) of Moweaqua, Il; father, David Johnson of Moweaqua, IL; brothers, Boman and Maxton Johnson of Moweaqua, IL; grandparents, Jerry and Susan Gallagher of Macon, Il and Brenda Rhodes and Henry Hoffman of Moweaqua, Il; aunts, Kelli (Kirk) Viehl of Edwardsville, Il, and Kari (Danny) Grubaugh of Macon, Il. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Dave and Margaret Thatcher.
Logan will be remembered through his many adventures. He was happiest being outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and drinking beer and fireball with his buddies. And he loved his dogs. He rescued many dogs over the years ~ more dogs than one man needs, which is why his mother and grandparents now have dogs they never knew they needed.
He had a special bond with his younger brothers and taught them many life lessons. He felt deeply, loved fiercely, and was as loyal as they come. Though his death was tragic and devastated many, his spirit will live on through his family, friends, and the lives he touched through the gift of organ donation.
Logan was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. We know his beloved dog, Rocky, was waiting to greet him with a wagging tail and a slobbery kiss.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 with the service immediately following at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M.
Memorials can be made in Logan’s name to the Macon County Humane Society.
