Assist Liv and Emily with Tree Removal Costs

Hi, my name is Liv DeJonghe. I'm married to Emily Paski. We are seeking funds to clear a 30+ ft. fallen pine tree on our property from the severe storm in Lansing on 8/27/24. This is the second summer in a row we've had a massive tree come down in storms, and we are still recovering from one last July, which wasn't covered by FEMA and was subject to a small home insurance cap. Insurance didn't pay out enough to finish the job, and we still have lumber on our property from that storm.

Again, our insurance has a $1,000 deductible and $2,500 cap on the claim. A licensed and insured company quoted $3,000 to remove the tree.

Our family has had a difficult month between this, my mom's passing, and caring for the kids while working full time. Folks have asked how to help, so we set up this small fund to help with our responsibility toward the insurance claim. Any leftover funds would go towards a personal chainsaw to cut up the remaining logs for firewood. Thank you for any help you're able to offer in this time!
