This is a picture of me, doing what I love to do... bartending. The thing about that is, you have to be on your feet the whole time & be able to pivot on a dime.
Unfortunately, I fell coming out of an elevator this past Friday night & broke my hip so I had to have a full hip replacement which will have me using a walker for 6 weeks, at least. That also means, no working, no money made.
I have a couple of events coming up that will hopefully allow me to earn enough for monthly expenses but it's the medical bills I'm worried about!
My Medicare covers the majority of it but even the 20% I have to cover (because our healthcare system is antiquated & ridiculous) is going to be overwhelming with the hospital stay, surgery, anesthesia, many tests, x-rays, & more. I've already amassed a bunch of bills from the aspergillus infection, anemia, & rheumatoid arthritis I've been dealing with over the years. (Yes, I'm a walking medical mess)
I am not one to ask for help but in this situation, I painfully feel I have to.
Being the caregiver for my disabled daughter who lives with me, the only "breadwinner" of the household, & not being sure of what kind of money I can earn through the upcoming events, I'm a bit scared at the prospect of not making any money & not being able to pay the bills.
I'm guessing at what the expenses will be based on previous billings but hope to reduce it once I receive all the bills.
Any help received is deeply appreciated!
