Aloha,
Many of you know me, and know that this is not easy for me to do. I have not been able to catch up on my bills since March this year and have really fallen behind on paying my electric bill, along with not being able to pay for car insurance, my car registration renewal, and the list goes on. I sold my Mercedes a few months ago, but Kihei Auto Sales only gave me $4000 for it when it was worth so much more, and I had to pay rent for April, so I had no choice but to take the amount they offered. Along with having sold all my gold jewelry and diamond jewelry, and other things I've been selling on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, it's just been ongoing. I recently started working at Home Depot about 2 months ago, but my Frenchie, Makanui, had a fungus infection that covered his body. After I tried to treat him myself naturally for a month, it wasn't getting any better, so I had to take him to the veterinarian. That cost $450 that I didn't have, but I used what I had for food and bills and paid for that visit. I was also scammed out of $1900 by someone who bought a piece of jewelry. Long story short, the cashier's check was fraudulent, and it wiped out my bank account. Yes, it's been a really rough past 4 months, I hate to say, but I've been doing whatever I can, including applying for food stamps and cash aid, and have not heard back from HDS, which I applied for last week. Normally, you get a response right away, but I haven't.
So, with Catholic Charities helping me with some of my rent for the next 2 months, and having been applying for jobs that pay better, but to no avail, nothing. It's sad to see that once you reach a certain age, you become passed over for a younger candidate. I am still trying, but I'm humbly asking for any help, small or large, to help me get my electric bill paid, along with all immediate bills and to buy food until hopefully by the end of September or October, I can get somewhat caught up.
I owe the IRS $6k for money I made back in 2022-2023 because I still had work doing small casting jobs and my property managing job, but since the fires and not having had any film industry work or real estate sales, I'm at my worst that I've ever been in my entire life. My credit cards are maxed out, and I have no savings whatsoever. I will be asking Home Depot for some assistance, but in the meanwhile, until anything gets approved, I'm in dire straits. Again, this is hard for me because usually, I'm the one that helps everyone out financially, getting people work, so this is really hard for me.
Any support would be greatly appreciated, and I send my gratitude in advance. If you would rather Venmo me, that would be great as well. I'll be posting pictures of my electric bill, Makanui's vet bill, and other things for proof of my struggle. Mahalo Nui Loa, Lily
