Assist Laura in Securing Jacob's Son's Future

In 2021 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Laura came by everyday to walk my dog and would stay and chat with me, she’d bring me ginger ale or flowers or just a positive attitude while I was lying on my couch recovering from another round of chemotherapy. Always willing to help. She is the most giving person I know.

This week Laura’s 29 year old son unexpectedly passed away. He leaves behind a one year old son. Her son Jacob never met a stranger, and the people he met nearly always became friends. I think he got that from his parents. A phrase Jacob often used was "I appreciate you". He could always see the good in people, even if they couldn't see it themselves.

Jacob had a talent for art and music. He had some really big dreams, not just for himself, but for his child and for others around him too. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

I am creating this to try to give back to Laura. Her support during my challenging time was selfless and helped me get through my darkest times.

Laura and her family have flight costs across the country, funeral costs and are thinking about Jacob’s son’s future. They would never ask for help so instead I will. Please consider giving what you can and know we are all forever grateful.
