Hi everyone,
My name is Kori Douglas, and I’m an MBA student (and aspiring project manager or planner) with a deep passion for building spaces that are affordable, sustainable, and community-centered. I’m launching this GoFundMe to raise $3,500 to help fund a research trip that will directly support my growth as both a designer and a future leader in project management. I’ve been given the opportunity to travel to London, a place rich with architectural history and innovative urban design. This goal is to learn firsthand from global approaches to design, planning, and project execution.
Through site visits, local interviews, and case study documentation, I aim to explore:
- Historic and modern architectural methods
- Sustainable urban planning models
- Real-world project management workflows
- Cross-cultural design influences
This trip will serve as a field research for an ongoing independent study and potential future thesis. I’ve been working hard to cover what I can, but the total cost of the trip is more than I can manage on my own as a student. Your donation will go toward:
- ✈️ Airfare & ground transportation ~$1,200
- ️ Lodging ~ $1,400
- Entry to museums, building tours, and research archives ~ $500
- ️ Meals & daily expenses ~ $500
Every contribution, no matter the size, gets me one step closer to making this opportunity a reality. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with friends or colleagues who believe in education and design would mean so much. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Your support, financial or moral, means the world to me.
