Assist Khoreen's Educational Voyage
Donation protected
Hello All! I have started this GoFundMe in an attempt to raise funds for my daughter, Khoreen. She has been chosen to participate in Students at Sea to enhance her college experience. With neither of her parents graduating from college, this is a big milestone for her! Let me take a moment to enlighten you on her educational background...
Khoreen graduated high school as co-valedictorian with a 4.73 GPA, maintaining the accomplishment of being Summa Cum Laude all four years of her high school journey, with Chinese being taken all four years. She achieved the highest possible level within the Air Force JROTC program, opting not to go to Officers School her junior year of high school so that she was able to finish all years of high school. At the beginning of her freshman year of college, she applied to become a residential advisor but was told she was ineligible as a freshman. During the middle of the year, an opening became available, and she was asked if she would like the position, to which she said yes. She also joined an A Cappella group and became the choreographer. At the present time, she is also an ASL tutor (American Sign Language).

The Students at Sea Program will allow her to travel for 106 days to 10 countries, 11 cities, and 3 continents. She will embark from Bangkok, Thailand, and disembark in Bremerhaven, Germany. Her stops will include Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Morocco, and Spain. The students will be provided meals while they're aboard the ship, but unfortunately, not while they are in the respective countries/cities. The mandatory immunizations have been taken care of, as well as 2 of the 5 necessary visas for her trip. The funds raised will be used to cover the additional 3 visas (which have to be obtained in the respective countries), as well as allowing her to be able to eat and possibly purchase a few small souvenirs while she is gone.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
