On September 1, 2013, my wife, 7 month son, and I were traveling to what we thought was going to be a week of celebratration of  our first year wedding anniversary. I   never would have thought that our celebratory trip could have let to our demise. During our commute to Virginia Beach, via route 113 in Salisbury, Md our tire burst, I lost control of the vehicle, hit the median, which caused the car to flip several times. I was ejected from the vehicle through the driver's window.   I lost consciousness when I hit the ground. When I woke up,  I attempted to  get up to find my wife Ashley and and my son Desmond but paralysis instantly set in from the waist down. Once I was transported to the hospital I was informed that I had a severe spinal injury that  dislocated & fractured my T6 and  T7 vertebrae. 


As time went on, I held onto my faith & belief that I could and would overcome this tragedy.  Fast forward, my health has improved more than what the Doctors said I would. I now have  sensation recovery and mild movement, which is a Miracle.  I also went back to complete my collegiate studies at Drexel University in 2020 with a Bachelor's in Hospitality Management. I purchased my family a home, and continue to try my best to overcome whatever God sends my way. I truly believe that through the Grace of God I will walk again.

Over the last 8 years I have exhausted everything I could possibly do through physical and aqua therapy to walk again. Unfortunately, I have not reached my goal but I refuse to give up. Recently, through Divine order and what I know can only be God., He has shown me hope, again. I was introduced to a procedure called “The Lion Procedure" Created and offered by a Dr. Marc Possover located in Switzerland aprocedure  has actually allowed other  people with spinal cord injuries to walk again!

After consulting with my physicians and Dr. Possover, I feel like the lion procedure is my greatest chance at walking again.
