We’re Living a Nightmare But We’re Still Fighting to Survive
My name is Kevin, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. Ill use funds to help get us out of the hole any donations o tecieve over expected amount will donate to childhood cancer.
Over the past two weeks, my family has been hit by an unimaginable wave of tragedy. We’ve lost three close family members in just 14 days. Now, doctors have told us to prepare for a fourth heartbreaking goodbye.
We haven’t even had time to mourn one loss before another comes. It’s been like waking up every day to a new nightmare. And all the while, I’m battling serious health issues of my own trying to stay on my feet when everything around me feels like it's falling apart.
A Look Into Our Daily Life Right Now
Every morning I wake up wondering how I’ll get through the day. Funeral homes are calling, hospital bills are coming in, and I’m trying to find a way to put food on the table. Most days, we skip meals or rely on the kindness of neighbors. The fridge is nearly empty. We’re behind on rent and power bills. I’ve had to cancel medical appointments because we simply can’t afford transportation or copays.
Our kids are doing their best to stay strong, but they see everything. They hear us crying at night. They ask questions we don’t have answers for. And it’s breaking us apart.
What This Fundraiser Will Do
We are not just asking for help—we’re building a plan to survive this and rebuild. Here's exactly how your support will be used:
️ Funeral & Memorial Costs: We need to lay our loved ones to rest with dignity. This includes basic services, caskets, transportation, and headstones.
Medical Treatment for Me: I’m dealing with serious chronic health issues, and without treatment, I won’t be strong enough to support my family through this.
Basic Needs: Groceries, rent, electricity, water, and transportation. These are daily needs we’re currently struggling to meet.
❤️ Grief Counseling: We need help healing emotionally especially for our children who are deeply affected by these back-to-back losses.
What Happens After We Receive Help
If we reach our goal, here’s what comes next:
We’ll be able to pay off the immediate funeral debts that are overwhelming us.
I’ll resume my medical care and start getting stronger again.
We’ll buy groceries and refill an empty fridge.
The kids can return to school with supplies, food, and a little hope.
We’ll begin grief counseling so we can actually begin to heal instead of just survive.
In short, we can breathe again. We can take our first steps toward rebuilding a life that’s been torn apart in just a matter of days.
Why This Means So Much
We’re not asking for pity. We’re asking for a lifeline. If you’ve ever loved and lost, you know this pain. If you’ve ever been desperate but tried to stay strong for others, you know this feeling. That’s where we are.
Whether it’s $5, $20, or $100, your donation will directly change what tomorrow looks like for us. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing our story with someone who might.
Sometimes, it’s a stranger’s kindness that reminds us not all is lost.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for being here. And thank you sincerely for being part of our hope.
With all my heart,
Kevin
