My name is Kathleen Murray. I’m a single parent with one daughter. I recently lost my home, of
40 years after losing my job, while dealing with a life threatening diagnosis.
In 2022, I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy a genetic disorder for which I don’t have the markers. I had open-heart surgery last January to fix the damages to my heart. Recovery has been a rollercoaster due to the stress from the loss of income and then my home. I’m not out of the woods, as my heart is weak and is schedule to receive a pacemaker.
As I reflect on the past year, I never thought that I would be the one seeking help. I was always ready and willing to open my home and provide a nurturing place where those in need found comfort and always a hot meal. I was taught that this is part of my worship to God.
Now me and my daughter are the ones in need as we struggle to rebuild our lives.
We need assistance to provide the basic necessities that we all take for granted. Any assistance provided will be greatly appreciated.
