Hello there. Many out there already know me, but if you don’t, my name is Kailani. This was so not an easy thing to do, but so many encouraged me to just do it. And so many of you have asked what we need for the baby coming. We have most of what we need to get started and truthfully, the thing that would really help the most is the money to cover expenses while I am home with the new baby. My due date (November 4th) is rapidly approaching and rather than relaxinto preparation for the baby, I am stressing about how we will afford my absence from work. I’m about 8 months pregnant and the gravity of my financial situation has really begun to set in and the high cost of living in California has made it next to impossible to build a savings for the time that will not be working.

Yes, I do have a wonderful partner who will be doing his very best to cover our shared housing costs but we are usually a 2 income household and he will not be able to cover everything as the cost of living is so high. I have some personal monthly expenses that will be impossible to cover while I am not working. Not only that, but my car needs new tires and a windshield replacement. 2 costly added expenses. There will be some money coming from CA Disability, but it just won’t be enough.

They say it takes a village to raise a child and I am just calling out to the village for a little bit of help. Believe me, it is so hard to ask for help, but I also believe in the hope for the family unit. We just need a little help to grow our little family.
