I need financial support to get through a period of transition in my life.

My name is Judith Chavarria, and I’m a trans woman in the process of uprooting my entire life from Miami, Florida to State College, Pennsylvania for a PhD program at Penn State. I don’t begin receiving my stipend until after the school year has started, but in the meantime I have a lot of costs which I’m unable to cover. These include:

• Paying my next month of rent

• Buying groceries and household necessities

• Covering monthly utility bills

• Accounting for emergency costs

• Shipping my belongings to my apartment

The next two months are going to be very important as I prepare to start my life from the beginning again, and I can’t do it alone.
