Hello and good day to you all. I hope this message finds you doing very well. My family and I are reaching out to you in an attempt to help our very good friends, the Bonanno family. I (Brian Deets) have been friends with John Bonanno for over thirty years. He was my best man, is one of my closest friends, and we have shared numerous life events together. Some good, some bad. Regardless, this recent one for him “takes the cake”.
On June 9th, at approximately 6pm, the Bonanno’s world was turned upside down when a car pulled out in front of John and hit him head on while he was riding his motorcycle. Fortunately for John and the family, he suffered no serious brain trauma and was not paralyzed. However, he suffered the following injuries: cracked skull and accompanying laceration (left cheek, through the corner of his left eye, all the way to the back of his head), broken vertebrae in both his neck and back, broken scapula, broken ribs, broken right elbow, broken wrist-fingers-knuckles on his right hand, and a broken left femur. In short, John is in a bad way and has a long road of healing, rehab, and ultimately recovery.
We cannot imagine the pain John is going through, but also the pain of the family. John will be out of work for an undetermined amount of time, and the needs of the family are plenty. Three young children are at home and this will not be a fun summer John and Holly get to enjoy with their family. It will be one of many burdens and with that, financial struggles.
The part that has yet to be mentioned is that John was struck by an uninsured motorist who was driving without a license. This should never happen, but it happens all too often. I think you can understand now why the Bonanno family could use some assistance. If you have the ability to help the Bonanno family in any way, please do. Reach out to them! If you have the ability to assist monetarily, please donate here. All funds raised will make up for lost wages and go towards out-of-pocket medical bills.
I will tell you that I am the needy one in this friendship. John has never asked for one thing, nor will he, ever. Collectively, maybe we all can help a little. Please share this link via Facebook to anyone in your circle. THANK YOU for your support. God Bless You!
