I am a friend of Joan's asking you to keep her and her family in your prayers. Joan Hutton has been a dedicated nurse her entire life of 60 plus years, encouraging her son to pursue that profession after his service in the US Army. Her son, after 12 years in the military and 2 tours in Afghanistan, returned home disabled. He did graduate from nursing school but could not pursue due to injuries sustained in the military. Joan was very healthy until last August 2024 when her health started to deteriorate. Joan has been living with her son and family and has incurred sizeable medical bills, including 2 emergency surgeries and lengthy stays with congestive heart failure. Her son has brought her back home with hospice and they are going to need help with final expenses and other needs. Joan is a devout Catholic and attended mass until she could no longer do so physically. She also loved animals and had 3 cats of her own. She has many friends who adore her. Joan passed 5/25/25 at home. Services will be at the Holy Cross catholic church in Vero Beach Florida at 10 am on June 19th.
