Assist Jim's Team Member in Overcoming Hardship

Hello all, I’m trying to help one of my recent employees make it through a really tough situation. He has no idea I am organizing this fund raiser. He is a proud man/veteran, one of my best employees. He was terminated due to the budget cuts you see going on now. He was a critically need member of my maintenance crew, his job series is on an exemption list and was terminated I believe, in error. His release was unexpected, I am trying to get him back to work asap, if I can. His name is Ted, he works hard and asks for nothing when he is hurting. He is always looking for a way to help himself out of a bad situation. He used to own his own company prior to coming to my team, he lost it due to Covid 19. He is also recently divorced and takes care of his sick daughter. His health insurance was the main reason he took a job at my organization. After work he would drive another 8 hours for Uber to offset any additional funds he needed. I learned today that his car broke down and he is not unable to make his extra funds, the repair is very expensive. if you can help me help him, get his car fixed, I would really appreciate it.
