This is definitely not something I would ever need to write, but here we are!

Jim Loveless, my father-in-law, has had a stroke and has been in the hospital. My husband, Joe Loveless, has been out of work to be there for him non-stop. We have applied for FMLA, but with the shutdown, we have no idea when it will be approved or when we will receive any funds from them. Jim was in Stayton hospital, so the daily back and forth wasn't too bad. Now he has been moved to a facility farther away, making the daily travel much more expensive. On top of that, we have to build a ramp at his home, install ADA accommodations within the house, as well as get the house deep cleaned and reorganized to help him recover. We are hoping to get a little help from the community my husband and father-in-law have been helping for years with discounted appliances, honest repairs, and always doing what they can to get everyone else taken care of. We want our dad back on his feet as soon as possible, and the rehab facility is our best chance to get him back to normal. We just need a little help getting gas and meals since my husband and I will be going back and forth often. Anything is helpful and appreciated, especially kind words and prayers for our family.
