Hello my name is Pat I’m not one to look for handouts so this is hard for me but my wife Jeri had surgery on the 16th September and was healing well but in this last Thursday night started having terrible stabbing pains in her rib

cage area, stomach and around to her back and nausea she dealt with it that night and on Friday it got way worse so we spoke to her surgeon and his office gave some ideas to help but Saturday morning it had only gotten worse well I had went to work early that morning and within a hour she had called me

saying she could hardly breath it hurt so bad she ended up calling a ambulance and I left

work as soon as I possibly could and drove home to get here minutes after the ambulance had they got her stable and took her to Butterworth in Grand Rapids by our house where after hours of test and waiting found she had a leak inside her stomach and would require a stent to fix it today they did the stent but the damage was worse than they thought and had to do a stent from esophagus to intestine and she can not eat or drink regularly for 4 weeks which only nutrition will be through a feeding tube which with her work as a nurse tech could be dangerous as people sometimes grab at them and can’t take a chance it gets pulled out so while she is getting short term disability it is only 60% of her regular pay that they still take tax and insurance etc out of so actually only get like 40% of your pay and I am going to end up being off a week maybe a couple days more and I’m out of PTO due to other medical issues with myself and children etc this year so trying to ask for a little help to make sure we can make rent and other bills update after the whole week in hospital ended up having to have a 3 hour surgery today when we thought she was going home looks like it is what should have been done to begin with but will most likely be in hospital until Monday Christmas is coming and any help would be awesome
