Hello,

My name is Sarah Dennis, the daughter of Jean Wendtorf.

Jean was a loving, selfless, generous, caring, and beautiful wife, mother, grandma, aunt, sister, and friend. She gave all her love to anyone she met.

On July 17th, 2025, my mom was admitted to the hospital due to changes in her body. Each day since, they did many tests and scans, trying to figure out what was wrong as she was getting sicker and sicker.

On July 29th, 2025, our whole lives were suddenly changed when we learned that my mom was diagnosed with an aggressive form of terminal lung cancer. In addition to that, her liver and kidneys slowly shut down. Since she was so sick, cancer treatment was not an option and there was not much else left from a medical standpoint to help her aside from comfort care measures.

On August 1st, 2025, Jean peacefully passed away in the hospital. Although her fight with cancer was short, she fought hard. Thankfully, she is no longer in pain and does not have to suffer anymore.

With this being so sudden and unexpected, our family is not prepared for what is now our reality.
