Assist Janet & Lance's Fight Against Parkinson's
Donation protected
One of our families here at Temple Har Zion is in need of help. Janet and Lance Bolonik, second-generation members of Har Zion, and beloved members of the community, have found themselves in a situation they never imagined. Lance, who is 82, was diagnosed a little over two years ago with the devastatingly degenerative Parkinson's disease, and he is declining faster than expected. He is unable to work and now needs to move to an assisted living facility.
Janet, 75, is trying to carry their living expenses as a substitute teacher facing a summer break with little employment. She is struggling to balance work and caring for Lance, whose worsening physical and cognitive disabilities are rendering him unable to live safely in the household any longer.
It is never easy to ask for help, and anyone who knows Janet and Lance well knows that they find it extremely difficult to do so. So, it is with great humility that we are reaching out to seek assistance from all of you to help Janet through this hard time and get Lance safely situated in a place that can tend to his needs.
