Hi, my name is James Kowalik. I’m visually impaired and I’m trying to find the right way to do this, but I’m trying to raise money to help pay for a lawyer to help me with a few issues with my neighbor. My neighbor has sued me because of the fence that he had built. I have made some improvements to the fence and have fixed some things on it to make it look nicer. I was told that what I do and pay for would go towards the fence payment. I was happy at the time with that because I’m on a fixed income and wouldn’t be able to afford it, but I can still do what I can with help from my daughter and wife to stain and correct what was messed up. I’ve done a few grand in work and was told, 'So what?' and I’m now being told to pay more than what I should. I’ve been honest and tried to remind him that I’ve done enough work and what I was able to pay should exceed the cost on my end. I need help and don’t have the money to pay for the costs and can’t afford a lawyer to help. I never ask for anything and try to help where I can for family and friends, but I can’t afford it and I need help. Someone please help me, please.
