Hello friends, family, and friends of friends. My name is Matthew Root. I want to thank you for taking the time to read this story and thank you in advance for any contributions you may make. I am asking for support from you all to assist funding for my best friend Jake Smith. Yesterday morning, he updated me on the day we wished wouldn’t come. His mother Mary Smith passed away after battling ongoing health concerns, and it became too much for her to bear. This funding will assist with financial stability while he takes time off work to grieve and contribute to establishing the memorial service.

Mary had such a positive spirit that would enhance the spirit of others. Her positivity and outlook on life inspired. She was such a kind-hearted and loving individual that made everyone she came in contact with feel welcomed and comfortable. Her lovely and blessed presence will be deeply missed. Heaven has gained another angel.
