Assist Jade & Mike in Overcoming House Fire Devastation

*update Tuesday October 22 (3:11 PM)- Jade & Mike’s house will have to be gutted- the multiple fires (that have been put out) have caused extreme damage to all interiors & exteriors of the house

*update Monday October 21 (12:53 PM)- the house has caught on fire a second time, as I am typing this update the firefighters are trying to stop the fires. Jade & Mike were on their way to attempt to collect anything important that they could from house (after approval from fire department earlier In the day), and were shocked to see firefighters at the house again

Due to a house fire late Sunday night (October 20, 2024) Jade & Mike Edwards, North Carolina residents, have been displaced from their new home that they recently brought & moved into. This home (that passed inspection) is only a few years old- and the fire department suspects the fire may have been caused by an electrical issue in the house. The fire eventually resulted in their only car exploding - so Jade & Mike also have no transportation.

Due to the recent devastating hurricanes in the region, many North Carolina residents are currently homeless, which will elongate the process of Jade & Mike being placed in a temporary home.

Jade & Mike just celebrated their 2 year wedding anniversary on Monday October 14, 2024. Jade just celebrated her 33rd birthday on Tuesday October 15. Jade & Mike recently got a puppy, Maru who has been raised solely in this home. Jade & Mike were undergoing preparations needed to further expand their new family before this tragedy occurred .

It is a miracle the whole family (puppy included) survived, thank God, and thanks to a neighbor who was walking a dog and informed them that their home was on fire (Jade initially smelling some smoke but not being sure where it was from).
