Assist Jacob and Serena in Their Time of Need

Dear family and friends,

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, we received the scary news that my Uncle, David, had a massive stroke at his home in Fort Madison, Iowa. He was life-flighted to Iowa City after medical professionals assessed the severity of his medical needs. His oldest son, Jacob, and Jacob's fiancée, Serena, were on a plane the very next day to be with him! It has been a long, trying week, staying in hotels closest to the major hospital in Iowa City. With sad and devastating news of what was to come, Jacob has made very difficult decisions on behalf of his father and his care plan moving forward. Uncle Dave has now been put on hospice. Jacob and Serena had to leave their jobs and pets behind to go be with their dad during this very sad and difficult time.

In depleting their savings and no idea when they will return to Oregon, they could use our help! No one knows at this time what is ahead, and how long they will remain in Iowa. Please pray for Uncle Dave for the best care possible during the days ahead. Anything you can give to support Jacob and Serena would be ever so appreciated. No one knows how long they will need to cover travel expenses: hotels, food, transportation. And ultimately, any additional expenses they could incur on behalf of Uncle Dave outside of his health coverage.
