Support Troy's fight with (ABI) Acquired Brain Injury

Hello Everyone,

My name is Patricia, and I am reaching out today to share, with a heavy heart, a brief history of my son Troy’s predicament.

Troy is a charming, humble, compassionate, loyal, honest, kind and creative man who is loved and respected by family, especially his mother and sister, his twin teenagers, friends and co-workers alike. He always has a smile on his face and is eager to help anyone who crosses his path.

Unfortunately, Troy’s father lost his battle against leukemia when Troy was only 5 years old. This devastating loss did not deter Troy from acquiring skills to succeed in life. However, not having his father to guide and direct him, Troy has struggled with on-going, unresolved, mental health issues; struggles he has tried to manage throughout the years.

On Saturday, January 4, 2025, Troy’s life changed drastically. Troy had an incident that almost cost him his life. Troy is now in a coma and battling ABI (Acquired Brain Injury). Troy’s Doctors are now recommending that he be placed on the list to a long-term care facility, as the waitlist is quite long, to receive the treatment and level of care required to get the best care for healing and restoration. In Canada, this level of care is not fully covered by our health care plan (OHIP). This level of care is very costly.

As his mother and power of attorney, I am imploring the community’s assistance to help me save my son’s life:

1. Please give as generously as you can so that I can reach my $40,000 goal to pay for Troy’s medical and ongoing expenses. No amount is too small, and your donation is greatly appreciated.

2. Please pray for us in this difficult and uncertain time.
