Assist in Securing Basic Needs and Job Search

Because of a car accident I was the victim of last January (2024), I have been unemployed since the end of August.

I've applied to so many jobs, it's impossible to count, but have only netted 3 in-person interviews, all of which have ghosted me.

I am too physically disabled to do most jobs, too mentally disabled to pass an interview, but not disabled enough in either aspect for the U.S. Government to see me as worthy for help.

My unemployment benefits are gone, and even when I had them, they only covered my rent & utilities. I had to use my severance to cover my car payments & insurance, and I was denied for SNAP & MedicAid due to "having/receiving too much money." It's only because of friends & food pantries that I've been able to still feed myself. But I am unable to renew my physical & mental disability prescriptions or my handicapped parking pass, because of the lack of insurance.

I am days away from defaulting on my car insurance, a week away from defaulting on my car payment, my license plates expire at the end of the month, and April's rent has not been contributed to yet.

I would rather have steady income than be running a GoFundMe. If you can help in that way, please do. But I would've needed to have already been working before March in order to not fall behind.

This amount is temporary at best, so employment is still an immediate need.

But this would at least cover:

2x months rent @ $1450 ($2900)

2x months car payment @ $406 ($812)

2x months car insurance @ $198 ($396)

State License Plate Renewal $151 (thankfully I no longer have a personalized plate)

with the remaining helping me ensure my heat, electricity, and internet/phone stay on (because the latter is a necessity for job searching/applying/interviewing - I'd argue more than gas for heat...I run hot anyway & I've got a lot of great blankets & pajamas) while I still try to find work.

I know it's a big ask of anyone & everyone, especially nowadays, but if 500 people each helped with $10, it would get me there quickly.

I know, maybe...5 people, who would definitely be in for $10 each?
