The video up top is mine I took of my house during the storm.
On Thursday, September 26th, Hurricane Helene hit my residence in Apollo Beach FL while I was home really hard. There was water throughout the entire house, and it rose to under an inch of my bedroom window. I had to put out a fire from behind the refrigerator, and out my back glass doors that faced the bay, it looked like an aquarium. The entire house was deemed unrepairable and will be demolished. I had no AC for 5 days, and all of my recent artwork over the past 2 years was ruined.
I am now currently in my hometown of Jacksonville, couch surfing until I can find employment as quickly as possible, but then still have to wait for a first paycheck. I had to spend the last of my money on a storage unit here, so since arriving on Thursday, I have had legitimately zero dollars to my name and only a bicycle for transportation. I am hoping food stamps will approve me for something on Monday, but FEMA has not helped yet either. I am not the one to ask for help, but I could really use a little this time. I offer to pay back anyone who feels like they can help, once I’m back on my feet. I do also still have paintings in a storage unit that I am willing to sell for very low amounts if anyone is interested.
Thanks to anyone in advance who helps in any way.
