On February 1st- I was on my way home from the store and this poor soul ran out into the road and was clipped by the car in front of me. We both stopped, he came right over to us shaking but we didn't see any immediate injuries and he had no collar.

Once I got him home and got a good look at him, I noticed in what poor shape he was in. His coat is dirty and matted, underweight, not neutered, and has possible double ear infections and hematomas on both ears- one is worse than the other. He also seems to have a possible UTI as well. He got a nice brush out and warm bath which he seemed to enjoy.

These funds will go towards helping pay for his vet bills to help his ears, U/A, possible bloodwork, and vaccines and neuter (once he gets settled, if he's still in my care)

Right now, he is only a temporary member of the family, but I want to get his health issues addressed and make him more comfortable. He will be going to the vet this week to get checked out.

He is sweet boy but is shut down and so scared. He has not been fear reactive towards myself, my other dogs and has paid no mind to the cats! I believe he will come out of his shell with time and patience. I'd love to find him a home with someone who will take the time to let him bloom and gain confidence back. Until then- he has as safe, warm place to land here with us.

Night 1- he settled and slept all night in the crate with no complaining!
