Dear Family, and friends,

It is with EXTREME heavy hearts, that we reach out to you during this difficult time in our lives. On very early morning Mother's Day... my BELOVED niece TRAGICALLY passed away, after contracting a sudden and mysterious illness. Her name was Layah Demamah… born September 15, 2021. Layah was only 2 1/2 years old! Layah became lifeless in her big sister's arms and she immediately started performing CPR! Layah was RUSHED to the hospital! While at the hospital Layah was immediately placed on life support. Our sweet little girl coded FIVE times, as doctors and nurses relentlessly worked over 7 hours to save our baby girl’s life. Unfortunately, after hours of gut wrenching tears, fears, hope, and PRAYERS… the doctors walked out and told mom and dad, “We’re sorry we lost her… I’m so so sorry for your grave loss'! Just before our eyes a parents WORST NIGHTMARE, became our very unfortunate REALITY! Our baby girl WAS GONE!!!! No parent should have to EVER bury their child! The unimaginable PAIN and HORRIFIC nightmare our family is experiencing right now… we wish on no one!

Layah was the youngest of eight children. She was a SHINING LIGHT to our family and to everyone who had the privilege and honor to experience her. She ADORED PRAISING and WORSHIPING GOD, even at such a young age. She loved singing, dancing, and playing games with her siblings. Not to mention… she loved going to church every weekend. Layah, our BEAUTIFUL precious baby was taken away from us far too soon!!! We know we will be reunited with Layah again one day, we are just impatient!

Her unexpected departure has left us DEVASTATED mentally, emotionally, and financially! We come to ask for your support, in any way possible! NO amount is too small, to aid in giving our sweet baby girl the homegoing fit for the PRINCESS she was! Though… Upon making several calls to multiple funeral homes, we’ve come to find out the funeral expenses are unimaginably EXPENSIVE even for a baby! We’re needing/hoping to raise a sum of $10,000 or so, to give our PRINCESS the farewell she deserves. Your contributions will go towards the funeral expenses, and helping mom, dad, and Layah’s siblings prepare for the unimaginable! Thus, allowing us to honor her memory in a MEANINGFUL and DIGNIFIED way.
