update: we lost everything, house is gone, cars are gone, we are desperately trying to find a place to stay in the next day or two.

Our house flooded tonight due to the ongoing tropical storm. We can replace much of the stuff we lost, but I am more concerned with the resources it will take to clean up this mess and deal with water damage. We do not know the extent of the damage, the water is going down for the moment. We expect a couple more days of flooding, if our bridge is passable tomorrow I will be buying more sandbags to prepare. We are a family of three, not including our 2 senior dogs.
