My name is Huong Garrett, but I go by Bebe at work. I have been working in Mill Valley for 19 years at a nail salon.
In 2020, when COVID hit, I went to Kaiser Hospital to get a flu vaccine. Unfortunately, the nurse injected it into my tendon and bone, causing severe pain that has lasted for over four years. Because of this injury, I have been unable to work normally and have lost a significant amount of income. I had to use all my savings just to cover my living expenses.
I have already undergone two surgeries, but my condition has not improved. Now, my doctor is recommending another surgery, with a recovery time of nine months to a year. During this period, I will not be able to work or take care of myself properly.
I am reaching out to my community and kind-hearted people for support during this difficult time. Any help would allow me to focus on my treatment and recovery so that I can return to work and regain my independence.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
