Assist Herb Moyer's Kids with Funeral and Care Costs

My name is Kelly. I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my uncle Herb Moyer of Lancaster, PA. He was rushed to the hospital on 7/25/2025 after collapsing while signing a deed for his new home, which he will never get the chance to enjoy with his 3 children. He was a single father for the past 10 and a half years as his wife passed away from sepsis in January 2015. Two of the three kids are totally dependent for care.

When he first arrived at the hospital, we had hope that he would recover from this because they got the emergency pacemaker in place and he was admitted to the ICU. The CT scan showed minimal swelling, so they left him on the ventilator under sedation for 24 hours and tried to wean him off the next day. But he wasn't responding after 14 hours of weaning; he was getting stressed out and having continuous seizures. They put him back on heavy sedation and did another CT scan on 7/28/2025, which showed the swelling got much worse instead of getting better. Neurology called his daughter (my cousin) and told her that with the amount of swelling, he must have been without oxygen for at least 45 minutes and there would be no way of him coming out of it. He would forever be in a vegetative state.

My cousin decided last night after speaking to someone who does palliative care, it would be best to let him rest and be with his wife and parents/siblings who went before him. So today at 2 pm, we went out to talk to the doctors, had a chaplain come in and pray over him for a peaceful transition. They started to unhook his ventilator and turned off his temporary pacemaker at around 4 pm. At 4:25 pm, my uncle took his last breath.

Unfortunately, there was no life insurance policy on him and now that it is just his oldest daughter and she has to take care of 2 special needs siblings, there is no way she can handle all this on her own. So that is why I am here asking for any help that would be so very much appreciated, just to help take some stress off of his daughter. My uncle's wishes were to be cremated and then buried on top of his parents so they can be together again.
