Assist Gina Glaub in Her Time of Need
Donation protected
Gina Glaub is one of the strongest, most compassionate women/nurses I have ever met. She has dedicated most of her adult life to helping others as a nurse, and now she and her family need assistance. Approximately 5 months ago, Gina had a sudden onset of severe headaches, which she at first presumed were migraines. What she thought were migraines ended up being 2 major strokes, one on each side of her brain. This is not something anyone would expect her to have to go through, in just her late 30s. The cause, a genetic condition she was not aware she had known as Fibromuscular Dysplasia. She needed 2 stents placed in her right carotid. Afterwards, she would suffer from disabling fatigue, decreased endurance, and had major issues with word finding. She had to make the tough decision to leave her job and focus on her health.
After 5 months of hard work, she has decided it is time to go back into the nursing field. She has just started a new job as a nursing instructor and as a PRN hospital nurse, and more bad news hits. The Fibromuscular Dysplasia has affected her kidney and she will now have to have stents placed to assist with that. Then even more news- suspected uterine cancer. Numerous growths suspected to be malignant. If this proves to be true, then she will have to have a hysterectomy. So now she will need time off work for the stents and a possible 6 weeks more if there is a hysterectomy. All of these have caused major hardship on herself and her family. Savings have been exhausted without Gina being able to work and they are no longer able to make monthly bills. Please assist Gina and her family in making ends meet so she can focus on her health and family.
Update: Gina and her family face more difficulties at this time. While Gina has continued to have to step back from working the hours she had previously to focus on her health, her husband was laid off the week of Christmas. And now, he is in the hospital with cellulitis. They continue to struggle with bills and face the possibility of foreclosure. Please assist if you can.
