Hello all,

I'm Gideon, a 26-year-old artist currently living in Los Angeles - although I am in the process of relocating to Spokane, which is why I need some help.

It's been a particularly tough year for me. In addition to already facing hardship as an autistic, non-binary lesbian of color (especially given the current state of America's administration), my work hours were drastically reduced a few months ago. Since then, I have been working to find a secondary job, but that has been made even more difficult after I was unlawfully arrested and detained last month. I had just obtained my substitute teacher's certification, and was on track to start a new career in teaching, and now an unjustified mark on my criminal record has halted this progress.

I can no longer feasibly afford rent and bills, and now I have legal costs to pay on top of it all.

I am incredibly grateful to have a friend who is taking me in and helping me get back on my feet, although I still need assistance in getting to her, as I will now be moving to Spokane from LA. I also need to cover the rest of rent for this month and some remaining legal fees.

I hate having to ask for financial help when so many folks are struggling right now, but I would really appreciate any assistance if anyone has funds to spare. Any money raised through this fundraiser will assist me in my relocation, as well as cover the remaining back rent I owe and legal costs.
