It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Ghebil Beyene Ghebil after a prolonged illness, medical assistance, and living under nursing care on August 26, 2025, in Berkeley, California, USA. On behalf of his wife and his teenage son who recently came to Canada as immigrants, we, concerned friends and church members in the Bay Area, are setting up this GoFundMe page to help his mourning family with funeral arrangements and associated expenses during these financially and emotionally difficult times.

Mr. Ghebil was a kind, funny, and strong man who made everyone feel welcome, and he was deeply loved by his family and friends.
