When Life Throws You A Curve Ball

Hi, my name is Erin Randall. If you are reading this than you most likely know me. The last few years have been full of up’s and downs that I haven’t always navigated well. Then in mid April I lost my job. It proved to be the tip of the iceberg. I felt my life out of control. I thankfully have the best family in the world. My little sister owns a wedding venue in Texas and quickly invited me to come and stay with her for a few weeks, work for her and she would pay me, I could take some much needed time to heal and work on myself. The original plan was 6 weeks and be home right when school let out. Best laid plans don’t always work out though. Being that far away from my kids, Elizabeth (13) and Marissa ;9) has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. The plan has been to grow and heal under the big Texas sky while still making money to pay bills. Unfortunately last week I fell in the dark garage while carrying a glass vase full of flowers. An ER visit and 8 stitches later on my left thumb left me paying a large bill I wasn’t expecting. Then today, my sweet puppers had what the vet can only guess was a massive stroke or seizure most likely related to an unseen tumor. An emergency vet bill and lots of test later and we still had no answers and my Charlie Mae was fading away. I made the only decision possible and chose to end her suffering. As I watched from Texas over FaceTime my beautiful baby slipped into sleep without me being there to say goodbye. The girls are wrecked and mom can’t hold them because remember, mom went to Texas to work on being better. I’m now reaching out to family and friends because I need your help. A significant ER and Vet bill later is eating up any finds I have made. I have a couple interviews for really good potential jobs lined up at the beginning of next week, Id very much like to go home, hug my kiddos close for a couple days, do these interviews so I have something lined when I return for good, and see my own doctor so I can get some much needed prescriptions renewed. With rent coming up fast I can’t do all this on my own. My goal is to rent a car this weekend (it’s way cheaper than flying), spend Sunday loving on the girls and burying our fur baby, interviewing for jobs and doctor appointments on Monday, and return to Texas on Wednesday so my sister and her sweet family can go on vacation knowing I’m running things at the venue. I will then return home for good at the end of June with plans in place and all the hard things done. As I mentioned all these things take up more money than I could have dreamed. The help I’m asking is specifically for the ER trip, the vet bill, and the trip home and back. Anything else will go towards bills and rent. I’ve never felt the need to do anything like this before, but then again I’ve never been without a job, a thousand miles from home when what I can only describe as tragedy strikes, leaving me feeling helpless. Every little bit helps. Thank you so much for even reading this far and considering helping. If you can’t help in any monetary way, please say a prayer for me and the ones I love as we navigate some hard times ahead without our puppy love. Our fur baby was and will always be a part of our family.
