Dominic, “Bug”, Big Dom… Babe

A husband, father, son, little brother, family, friend and most proudly, a child of God.

Dominic experienced the deep love of Christ and that love was the motivation for everything he did. His personality was to show up, work hard and bring laughter and joy wherever he was. There wasn’t an area of his life where joy didn’t follow, and his shout of laughter couldn’t be heard.

He was a goofball. Whether you were looking at him or not – he would be cracking jokes, dancing, laughing or making someone else laugh. Dominic appreciated the life God had given him. He loved watching his kids in their various activities, making family memories and going on adventures. He loved fishing and boating, blowing up fireworks, wearing an ugly Christmas sweater or cooking on the grill. He loved to eat – and eat anything! He hugged tightly, he was kind, honest and genuine.

Most of all - Dominic loved well. He loved his people, his family, his friends and Fur babies. He loved Erin and his kids – and everyday strived to be exactly the man God created him to be. Most importantly he loved Christ and lived his life to honor Him.

The reason we will so deeply miss Dominic is because he so deeply loved his people. That is the gift of knowing him. His legacy will be remembered if we continue to show up for one another, and love each other the way Dominic loved us. If you can give a strong hug to the ones you love and can laugh even through difficult times. Most of all, his legacy will be remembered if we are bold enough to share and live out the love of Christ just as he did.

John 13:34-35 – Jesus said…”A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
