It is with heavy hearts that we ask for support as we navigate this incredibly difficult time. Our beloved Edith Obeng, 53 years old, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2025 when she was fatally struck by a vehicle while on her way to work. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend who meant the world to all who knew her.

Edith has been a resident of Florence, Kentucky for the past two years since immigrating to the U.S. from Ghana to join her husband, Clement, who immigrated in 2010 to Florence ahead of his family. Edith quickly became an active member of the community and was a local church member and a Walmart employee.

Her family wishes to honor her memory by arranging for her return back home to Ghana for a proper funeral and burial, surrounded by her children and loved ones. This is a costly and complex journey, and we are humbly asking for help.
