Assist Dulce's Surgery: A Mother's Plea

My name is Estela Luna and I would like to invite you to help a mother and her daughter who are going through a difficult time right now. Liliana Yanet Ramírez Cruz is a woman who lives in Oaxaca, Mexico, and she is desperately trying to raise funds for her two-year-old daughter, Dulce Ramirez. Dulce has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition in which there is a build-up of fluid in the cavities deep within the brain. Her only solution would be to have a neuroendoscopy. The cost for the medical procedure is very high (10,000 dollars; 200,000 pesos) and I’m moved to ask for your help. I come from the surrounding area where this woman lives, which is an indigenous town. I’ve lived there and worked there. Resources are few and the pay is extremely low. People there make around $60 every week and I’m not joking when I say that you can spend at least 3/4 of that money that same week on groceries alone. I remember growing up that buying milk or meat was a luxury, and that was with my dad working in the U.S. and sending money to us. I’m compelled to ask that if it’s in your heart, that you will help this child.
