Hey all! My name is Erin Spearman and I am raising money to assist in my father's ( David Spearman) continued health care at home.

His insurance does not cover any of his prescriptions, and those are around 300 dollars alone. There are also several pieces of equipment that I will have to purchase out of pocket as well. And let me give you a little background as to what happened and a little about my father!

David was an Army Ranger and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the military, he worked as a carpenter, as well as a brick, block, and rock mason until his body couldn't handle it anymore. Once his parents became ill and unable to care for themselves, he was their caregiver until they left us. He is a selfless, hyper-independent, and very tough man! So, you can imagine how difficult this all is for him. He had a botched biopsy that caused a terrible pneumothorax while in the hospital. That resulted in a pretty invasive surgery, BUT they were able to remove the lung cancer tumor while in there, so YAY for that! They discovered he has hypertension, COPD in both lungs, possibly needs a stent in his heart, among a whole other host of issues that will require continued care.

Any amount helps and we sincerely appreciate even your consideration. I will be taking time away from work for appointments and things of that nature, which will financially strain our household as I am the only one to work. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who feels led to help us out.
