Assist Darlene's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
My name is Lella Hill,
My sister's name is Darlene Cannon.
Darlene is 75 years old.
On December 21, 2024, my sister Darlene was involved in a tragic event. Darlene was doing her last-minute shopping in J.C. Penney's in Killeen Texas Mall. The police had a high-speed chase from Belton freeway to Killeen Mall in Killeen, Texas. The driver drove through the front entryway of J.C. Penney's. Darlene was run over by the driver of the Ram 1500 pickup truck. Darlene was rushed to Scott and White's Hospital ICU in Temple, TX.
Suffering from multiple injuries, Darlene had emergency surgery on her right foot. They reconstructed her toes. Both feet and ankles are broken. Darlene's shins and upper body parts are extremely sore, in pain, and bruised. Darlene is bed-bound with bilateral lower extremities. Darlene will need 24-hour care for some months. Darlene is suffering from extreme emotional shock from being run over and hearing multiple gunshots.
Any donation will help cover the cost of Darlene’s medical needs: medical supplies for wound care, modifications to her home, including installing a medical bed, a wheelchair ramp, and a wheelchair.
Your support will bring hope and relief to Darlene and our family during this challenging time. Please consider donating to help Darlene recover from this tragic accident. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference in her life.
Thank you
