Last night, my dad experienced a tragedy when he woke up to his home engulfed in flames. Thankfully, he made it out without injury, and my sister was at work.

They lost two beloved pets and everything in the home. My dad has lived there for over 20 years, and it has been a home for everyone in my family at some point or another.

If you know my dad, then you know that he is a selfless, lighthearted, loving person with a heart of gold. When he's not working, he's spending the rest of his time helping others, whether it's family or strangers, and he never asks for anything in return. In recent years, they've experienced one trauma after another, including the unexpected passing of my stepmom, Marianna, followed by my dads beloved dogs one by one, and now losing their home and all of their possessions.
