Cancer sucks in any way, shape, or form. I met Angie and her family 3 years ago in the Hospital as she had emergency surgery and found out she was stage 4 with Colon Cancer. Angie started chemo treatments after being discharged shortly thereafter. Three long years she fought like the warrior she was ! Family members took turns taking her to treatments , missing work, staying up late or wee hours of the morning while Angie was so sick from the treatments. A family so devoted to her health. At the beginning of January 2025 Angie prayed to GOD asking for guidance to continue the treatments for a while longer or be happy with her time left and spend with her Family. She listened to GOD and Hospice came. Still suffering with pain, nausea, getting covid, she pushed on, but she was getting weaker and tired. Her Daughters Brittany and Cylvia stayed day and night with Angie to help her Husband Keith during the last few months of Angie’s life. Cylvia gave up her nursing job of many years; to stay and help Angie in her final months, to weeks, to days. As Cylvia is the breadwinner in her family , income STOPPED while she was taking care of Angie. Keith also missed work so that he could be home to help care for Angie and continue day to day activities for their own household. These last 3 years were good years but this last month in March has taken a financial toll on Cylvia and Keith both. Angie passed away early evening 3/27/2025.
Watching this sweet family struggle breaks my heart because I’m sure treatments aren’t cheap, bills still come, income was lost while taking care of their Mother and Wife and they’ve not had time to sit back and grieve. Please DONATE and help. Sincerely Rebecca
