I want to begin by thanking everyone who surrounded our family with love and support during this difficult time. It has been over a month since Connie’s passing and grieving my sister's loss has not been easy. The Vargas family is deeply grateful for everything.

Please know that her gofundme page will continue to be live to receive contributions for another few weeks. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! It was with your help that Connie received a proper funeral. Although Connie's expenses have been covered, we're hoping to collect donations that will go towards her sons. Rest assured the kids are with loved ones at all times, have a place to sleep, and have a full belly. However, they aren't quite where they used to be a month ago. As you all saw on her gofundme page, any contribution helps.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved sister, Concepcion Vargas. Connie, as people called her, was a devoted mother of two, lost her life while on a family trip to Puerto Rico this past Saturday, November 30. This is an unimaginable loss to everyone that knew her, in particular to the many families she touched while working in an elementary school as a Teacher Assistant.

As my family navigates this difficult time, we hope to rally together as a community to help ease the financial burden of this unexpected loss. We are raising funds to bring her body back to Los Angeles, help with funeral expenses, and the cost of living for her two beautiful children. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated. Even if you are not able to give at this moment, sharing this page and spreading the word means so much to us.

Con gran pesar comparto el fallecimiento de mi querida hermana, Concepción Vargas. Connie, como todos la llamamos, era una madre dedicada de dos hijos, perdió la vida mientras estaba en un viaje familiar a Puerto Rico el pasado sábado 30 de noviembre. Esta es una pérdida inimaginable para todos los que la conocieron, en particular para las muchas familias con las que estuvo mientras trabajaba en una escuela primaria como asistente de maestro. Mientras mi familia pasa este momento difícil, esperamos unirnos como comunidad para ayudar a aliviar la carga financiera de esta pérdida inesperada. Estamos recaudando fondos para traer su cuerpo de regreso a Los Angeles, ayudar con los gastos del funeral y el costo de vida de sus dos hermosos hijos.
